My palace Golden heart, BV AC-23

A solid cast cubic-shaped house that has become an established miniature universe in Bertil Vallien’s workshop. This collection is typical of the artist in many ways, notably representing his sense of space. These works of glass seem haunted by a floating sphere, a head – or simply by emptiness. In Bertil’s many years of exploring the inherent magic of glass, he always wants us to discover its natural form. So, here again, the focus is all on the glass itself. It is beautiful, playful, verging on the impossible!

My Palace is part of Bertil Vallien’s anniversary collection, “Bertil Vallien: 60 years with Kosta Boda” (1963–2023), and is crafted at the Kosta Glassworks in Sweden.
